AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR TORONTO AFTER DARK 2021! BIG WINNERS INCLUDE PAUL DOOD’S DEADLY LUNCH BREAK & POST MORTEM!

Toronto After Dark Film Festival is thrilled to announce the Award Winners of its 15th Annual Edition. As is tradition at Toronto After Dark, the Jury were the fans themselves with 300 festival pass buyers polled to determine the best new horror, sci-fi and action movies from the around the world!

PAUL DOOD’S DEADLY LUNCH BREAK, the British dark revenge comedy directed by Nick Gillespie took Top Prize, the Audience Choice Award for BEST FEATURE FILM GOLD plus six other Specialty Awards including BEST SCREENPLAY. BEST FEATURE FILM SILVER went to SEOBOK, Lee Yong-ju's Korean sci-fi action thriller which also took home BEST SCI-FI. Hungarian supernatural tale POST MORTEM, directed by Peter Bergendy took home BEST FEATURE FILM BRONZE as well as nine additional awards including BEST DIRECTOR and BEST HORROR FILM.

Additional Major Winners included Kazakhstan roadtrip horror comedy SWEETIE, YOU WON’T BELIEVE IT which won two awards including BEST ENSEMBLE CAST and the British gangster action comedy NIGHTSHOOTERS which won two awards including BEST ACTION FILM.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of New Horror, Sci-Fi and Action cinema. Each October, the critically acclaimed event screens thrilling new features and shorts from around the world in front of an audience of thousands.
