Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of thrilling international cinema, and runs annually during the week before Halloween. Our critically acclaimed festival features new horror, sci-fi, fantasy and thrilling films from around the world, including a number of award-winners. Last year, Toronto After Dark was attended by over 4,000 enthusiastic film fans and over 60 members of press and industry. This year’s much-anticipated second annual festival expands to 50 films screening over seven nights, October 19-25, 2007.
OUR PROGRAM
Toronto After Dark’s program features a diverse selection of feature film premieres and innovative short films on the cutting edge, including acclaimed new independent and international horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, animation, and offbeat works from across North America, Europe and Asia. Toronto After Dark’s mandate
Each year, Toronto After Dark Film Festival strives to:
1 - Showcase innovative, independent and international thrilling films, in front of Toronto audiences that would otherwise never get to see these works in a theatrical setting.
2 - Encourage and support homegrown genre filmmakers with a dedicated program of emerging Canadian talent.

Not just about the movies!
During the Festival, Toronto After Dark also hosts a hugely popular zombie walk in the downtown of the city, puts on two awesome gala parties, and gives out plenty of exciting prizes to audience members.
