SYNOPSIS

You’ll laugh, you’ll leer, you’ll lose your lunch and let your jaw hit the floor as Troma pulls out all the stops in POULTRYGEIST: NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD, the most ambitious, outrageous and entertaining film yet by the studio behind THE TOXIC AVENGER, SGT. KABUKIMAN, N.Y.P.D. AND CLASS OF NUKE ’EM HIGH.

The insanity begins when our gangly hero Arbie loses his beloved Wendy to a lesbian activist and spites the couple by getting a job at the very fast food joint they’re protesting. Problem is, though, the filthy grease pit was built on the Tromahawk Tribe Indian burial ground and the angry spirits want revenge. As franchise owner General Lee Roy tries desperately to cover up the increasingly disgusting deaths of Arbie’s customers and co-workers (a button-pushing collection of racial, sexual and religious stereotypes), the mop-wielding teen must heed the advice of a singin’, dancin’, dress-wearin’ sage – played by writer/director Lloyd Kaufman himself! – in order to defeat the chicken zombies, win back his girl and clock in a few good musical numbers.

Beneath the constant barrage of bodily fluids, boobs and bombastic political incorrectness lies an unexpectedly smart and biting commentary on corporate fast food culture. POULTRYGEIST is a grease-pit opera destined for cult greatness.
–Dave Alexander
