J-horror fans rejoice, here's a rare chance to see the latest by a true master on the big screen! Hugely acclaimed director Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Cure, Kairo, Bright Future) joins forces with uber-producer Taka Ichise (Ringu, Ju-On), arguably the most important and influential figure in the entire J-Horror boom with his fingers on virtually every significant title, with Retribution.

Frequent Kurosawa collaborator Koji Yakusho -- soon to be seen opposite Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in Babel -- stars as Detective Yoshioka, a weathered and beaten man trapped in a fading relationship and troubled by sudden lapses and blurs in his memories, assigned to investigate a series of murders. But the more Yoshioka probes the more he begins to wonder if the serial killer he is chasing might, in fact, be himself...

Never afraid to challenge himself or his audience Kurosawa has promised nothing less here than a complete re-imagining of the Japanese horror film and if there's anyone capable of doing just that, it's him. - Todd Brown
