"A visual Stunner! Quentin Tarantino meets Mad Max. Daring." - USA Today
"One of those films that cult film fans love to discover" - Independentfilm.com
In the year 2077 America was destroyed in an overwhelming nuclear holocaust. Those few souls that survived did so by hiding in underground bunkers, linked only by radio and the strange transmitted prophecies of a New America rising from the ashes and the man who would be its king. Twenty years later the survivors begin to emerge and Tex Kennedy -- played by writer and co-director Kevin Wheatley -- sets off to find the chosen one and crown the new king with the help of his two robot companions and the fearsome Cannibal Sue (Jamie Bullock). The only thing that stands in his way is the dreaded Threshold of Hell, a barren wasteland populated by an eternally youthful surfer cult quite possibly headed up by Satan himself.
Political satire meets post apocalyptic b-movie madness with a dash of the ol' ultraviolence in the feature film debut from Wheatley and directorial partner Jonny Gillette that plays like Six String Samurai meets The Daily Show. Keep an eye out for appearances from Jane Seymour, Daniel Baldwin, and a string of faces familiar from the likes of Arrested Development and Office Space. - Todd Brown
